Shierian

The strange and distant watchers on the edge of the galaxy.

The Shierians are remnants of the last burst of civilization and life in the Orion arm. Believing themselves avenging angels, whose job it was to destroy the coming Void, a dark force of demons sent by a false god to corrupt the universe. They believed that another race present at the time, the Djekori were this Void, and so started a war with them that led to the end of that civilization burst, leaving few survivors.

They are known for their ability to absorb energy from their surroundings and convert into other forms through various hand-motions, their apparent immortality, and their imposing build.

They are the oldest and most advanced species in the arm, having supposedly moved their planet outside of their solar system to escape their dying sun, and kept it lit with artificial, moon-sized, "suns" orbiting their planet.
